Spring is my second favorite season of the year, with summer coming in at first place. My grandfather always said that anyone who loves summer doesn’t work outside, and I guess he hit the nail right on the head, because I’m thankful to work in the a/c year round. Spring to me, is the pre-game season for summer- the weather gradually becomes warmer, the days grow longer, and nature comes back to life. And that also means that shorts come back out, sandals slip on, and heavy winter coats get packed up in a closet upstairs. (Yay!)
Every year, I get excited to try new bright, and sunny looks for the season, so I recently teamed up with my friend, and local photographer, Caitlin McCullough to showcase some of my favorite spring looks to help inspire your spring and summer wardrobe!
Boho Glam

This look speaks to the slightly eclectic, folksy part of my spirit. My personality can generally be summarized as “Disney Princess-ish”, but there is a small side of me that is just a little bit free spirited hippie- and that’s where I like to let this Boho Glam side shine.
I loved mixing these folksy, vibrant patterns with my staple light-wash ripped boyfriend jeans, and a pair of unexpected, all-out glam rhinestone earrings.

One of the best things about this outfit (besides being cute and unique) is how affordable each element is! Belk, Khols, and TjMaxx are three of my immediate go-to stores to find not only my staple pieces, but occasionally some incredibly unique items at prices I don’t have to hide from my husband! So I was thrilled when I found the jeans, top, and earrings at my 3 fav. spots!
(Note: This article is not paid or sponsored by any of the retailers or individuals mentioned.)
The top is from Belk, and is still on their website for $17! The fabric at the neck closes a key hole back with a double-button closure, and the tail of the shirt dips down lower than the front making it perfect to wear with leggings as well!
The jeans are Wax Brand from TjMaxx and are my FAVORITE jeans I’ve ever owned. They are a denim, cotton, and spandex blend, that hug in all the right places and are superbly comfortable. Did I mention they were less than $20?!
Lastly, those big glitzy glam earrings are from Khols and are also still on their website! My style will always lean toward the feminine and glam, so these earrings balanced out the outfit and gave the perfect touch of glam!
Gracious, Bright, and Youthful

A look that is classically elegant, with a touch of modern trend and feminine is what I look for in a date night look during the spring and into the summer. When I saw this dress in Belk, I knew I had to have it. And for all my girls out there who have a thicker or curvier body type, this dress hits in all the right places.
The thick yellow banding outlining the shape of the dress, paired with the intricate and delicate lace is so flattering and unique. Because the neckline is so stunning, I rarely wear any jewelry with it. I usually pair it with some chunky heals, or vibrant sandals.

This dress is still on Belk’s website for less than $30!
Textured Staple Outfit
I have recently become obsessed with layering textures- especially with staple pieces. This is one of my favorite spring outfits because these are three of my favorite pieces.
The top is Kate Spade, and was on sale for less than $40. I love the subtle ruffling down the length of the top, and the smartly cut neckline. The fabric is a chiffon, polyester blend and is slick and matte, and the color is an absolute spring staple.
These eyelet lace shorts are from none other than my beloved Target, and were $20- which they still have! I love that they aren’t too short, and I feel like this outfit is the perfect blend of trend, and class for any age.
Bringing me to the sandals, these were on a crazy sale from Coach, for less than $40! These iridescent champagne beauties go with anything, and just polish this outfit perfectly! They were crafted with quality, and I definitely recommend splurging on a pair of quality, staple sandals for the spring/summer season.
