Hello lovelies! August has been a whirlwind for me and mine. We kicked off my birthday month with a trip to Charleston, I turned 23 at a party with family, my full-time is moving full speed ahead, and I’m taking some pretty exciting steps to eventually go full-time with my consulting company (O.M.G.).

With my husbands birthday on the 1st, and another trip right after, I knew getting my August Beauty Faves out a little early was important if it was going to happen (hey! At least I know myself!).

When it comes to beauty, August was a “try before buy” month for me, so I was focused on getting minis of what I was most interested in and testing them out before I committed. Let’s dive into what I loved.

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara

The packaging for this mascara is so utterly simple that I just wasn’t expecting much. It’s just a black tube that says it cosmetics- nothing flashy. This was a gift from a friend, in the form of a mini, but my oh my. It’s about as black as it could possibly be (LOVE) and it not only gives a thicker lash but gives your lash a smooth extension. I will be buying a full size in September for sure.

The Balm Concealer

I love The Balm brand. The products are always quality, and they usually last forever. While I’ve had this concealer for a while, I revisited it in August because my skin has been freaking out. While this product is 100% full coverage, it goes on evenly and smoothly, and feels great throughout the day. I actually have this in a light and darker color, and use it to contour.

NYX Prismatic EyeShadow

This is probably my FAVORITE of my August favorites. I got this in an Ipsy bag, and holy smokes Batman. The eye shadow is SO foiled and fully pigmented. The metallic tones are perfect to pair with a plum purple, or deep brown for a smoky eye.

Kiss Eyelashes in Flirty

I don’t wear falsies very often, but when I have, I always encounter the same dilemma. I want them to look nice and wispy, but I also refuse to pay big bucks for false eyelashes. That’s just me. But I FINALLY found something that looks beautiful and glamorous, at an amazing price point- Kiss lashes in Flirty are lightweight, wispy, and look amazing. I may or may not have bought about 10 pairs.
